Satya Kumar, an industry analyst tracking memory markets, reported that systems shipping in 2026 will contain triple the LPDDR (low-power double data rate) content compared to 2025 units. This explosive growth in memory requirements stems from large language models and neural networks demanding exponentially more on-chip memory bandwidth.

Micron Technology's Q2 outlook projects "substantial records across revenue, gross margin, EPS and free cash flow," according to company statements. The performance reflects tight supply conditions for high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and GDDR modules used in AI accelerators and GPUs.
